Amanda Carden is a certified teacher with over twenty years’ experience as a classroom English teacher, a counselor, or an administrator. While she enjoyed teaching literature, writing, and grammar to various grades sixth to twelfth, her passion for history came after teaching a humanities class that included music, art, architecture, theater and dance. Amanda and her thespian husband, Jeff, took this love of the arts to the high school stage and produced and directed their three children and their friends in numerous historical plays and musicals.
In addition to attending the professional theater and symphony regularly, Amanda and her family enjoy playing board games, screaming the lyrics at eighties rock concerts, sampling chef tastings at new restaurants, and traveling anywhere and everywhere; their newest interest is visiting every national park! She is especially excited about taking your student(s) on a trip through the ancient civilizations to explore human culture and creativity!
