Jessica Giglio To All Instructors

Jessica Giglio is a homeschooling teacher of 19 years. She holds her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University where she graduated with honors. From the beginning Jessica was looking to change the education system. The first job she took included teaching children in a multi grade classroom. She then went on to help in special education. Her heart was drawn to help especially the kids with needs unmet. When a child wasn’t receiving proper services for being blind. She taught herself braille. After settling down to have a family of her own, she decided to personalize her children’s education and temporarily took a hiatus in the public sector. She has three children and all are nearing graduation. Jessica is a true facilitator and prefers to let the children lead subtly. She uses eclectic methods, but is drawn more to a hands-on approach. Marie Montessori, Charlotte Mason, and Mother Theresa are her role models. When Jessica isn’t busy teaching she enjoys lifting weights, yoga, painting, needlework, or strolling parks with her husband . Jessica also can be found at the beach or enjoying her two poodles when she has idle time. Jessica is an avid collector of children’s literature and is always on the hunt for wonderfully illustrated books. She delights in teaching especially Math and English. As a retired gymnast and prior Disney employee, one will find she has a colorful whimsical side. If you need additional private tutoring reach out. She has a way with customizing instruction to a struggling learner. Jessica is excited to join Murfreesboro Homeschoolers and make a difference in the lives of her students.
